Auction Fundraiser for Bill Mason Scholarship Memorial Fund

The Bill Mason Memorial Scholarship Fund (BMMSF)
Founded by Paddle Canada in 1990, the BMMSF's main objective was, and continues to be to help provide tomorrow's environmental stewards financial assistance in their studies. The BMMSF Committee is proud to be able to provide a $1000 scholarship to help them meet their educational goals.

Are you up for some fund raising?
To meet this worthwhile demand, the Mason family website hosts an annual Bill Mason Scholarship Day Auction - June 21, 2010. Our auction will go a long way in helping fund the scholarship set up in his honour.

Auction Where?
The auction will be hosted by Ebay.ca. Auction Items will be available for pre and post auction viewing on www.redcanoes.ca. Past years items have including paddling books, DVD's, Music CD's, Outdoor Camping Gear, Paddles, Artwork, Gift Certificates from paddling outfitters and schools.

How much was raised in 2009?
This year's auction was a bit of a trial balloon and we kept it small for that reason. I had to deduct the required taxes, the Ebay fees, the Paypal fees and maintenance fees. I also deducted reserve bids on a few of the items from the bidding amount but it was, in my estimation, a great success and raised $1287.34 for the scholarship. Yaaay! - Becky Mason
