Sea Kayak Instructor Trainer Level 3 Mentorship

Aim
To provide a national certification in the instruction and administration of the Paddle Canada Level-3 Instructor course.

The Level-3 Instructor Trainer is certified to:

Conduct Paddle Canada Introduction to Kayaking and Level-1, 2, 3 & 4 Instructor courses and certify Instructors at those levels.
Certify Introduction to Kayaking and Level-1, 2 & 3 Instructor Trainers.

Prerequisites
Prerequisites are to be complete before the mentorship is complete. Level-3 Apprentice Instructor Trainer must have:

Skills Certification: Sea Kayaking Level-4 Skills.
Instructor Certification: Sea Kayaking Instructor Level-4.
Instructor Trainer Certification: Sea Kayaking Instructor Trainer Level-2.
Experience: As a Level-4 Instructor, taught two (2) or more Level-4 Skills courses. Note:

Apprenticeship and Assessment

Assessment for Sea Kayaking Instructor Trainer Level-3 is achieved through the mentorship process.
Apprentice on at least one (1) Sea Kayaking Instructor Level-2 course.
Two Level-2 Instructor Trainers are required to assess a Level-2 Instructor Trainer. A Level-2 Instructor Trainer and a Level-3 Instructor Trainer are required to assess a Level-3 Instructor Trainer.
In the case that only one Mentor is registered on the Level-2 Instructor course the second Mentor can be a Level-2 Instructor Trainer with whom the Apprentice has worked with on a Lv2 Instructor or Level-3 skills, or Level-4 skills course.
