Aim
This Canoe tripping course introduces the canoeist to camping skills that are required to make the trip safe and enjoyable on waterways they are skilled to travel on.

Upon Successful Completion
The Canoe Tripping Skills Introduction Tandem and Solo is certified to:

Prerequisites
Lake Canoe Skills Intermediate Tandem and/or
Introduction to Canoeing Skills Tandem for venue location.
Recommended 16 or more hour First Aid Course

Course Length
A minimum of 2 days plus 1 over night canoe trip is required. Candidates should lead for a minimum of half a day each.

• Campfire Options (open fire, firebox, non-fire options, etc.)
• Axe, Saw & Knife Use (basic knowledge and if or when to use)
• Knots (Reef, Bowline, Sheet Bend, Trucker's Hitch with Two Half Hitches, Taut-line)
