









Aim
To provide a national certification in the instruction and administration of the Paddle Canada Introduction, Intermediate, and Advanced Canoe Poling Instructor courses. There are three levels of Instructor Trainers. Instructor Trainers are considered leaders in the Canoe Poling paddling community and have significant influence over the success and safety of the Canoe Poling in Canada.

Canoe Poling Canoe Instructor Intro
Must have taught 2 Intro Skills Courses in the last three years.

Program Overview
Candidates must mentor on at least 1 (one) Canoe Poling Instructor Courses Advanced.
Candidates must teach at least 50% of the time.
Candidates are to produce an Instructor Course outline for the mentoring Instructor Course.
Be recommended by the Instructor Trainer(s) that candidates are mentoring under.
Assessment
Instructor Trainers are expected to have mastered the Introduction skills of the Canoe Poling Program.
They must demo the highest demo quality manoeuvres on the Introduction Instructor Course.
They must show comfort and mastery in skill, knowledge, and safety for the course they are mentoring and teaching.
