River Kayak Skills Level 1
Aim The River Kayak Skills Level 1 course is designed to introduce participants to the thrill of paddling whitewater. Emphasis is placed on understanding the principles of moving water and kayaking safety. Upon Successful Completion The River Kayak Skills Level 1 is certified to: Teach the following courses: Not Applicable Assist and/or Apprentice (Mentorship) on the following courses: Not Applicable Prerequisites River Kayak Skills Introduction to Kayaking Basic First Aid Course is strongly recommended Course Length Eight (8) hours Class Ratio 1 Instructor : 6 Participants Location All manoeuvres are to be performed on Class 1-2 Moving Water. Conditions All manoeuvres are to be performed on Class 1-2 Moving Water.
