Sea Kayak Instructor Trainer Introduction to Kayaking

Aim
To provide a national certification in the instruction and administration of the Paddle Canada Introduction to Kayaking, Instructor course.

Upon Successful Completion
The Sea Kayak Instructor Trainer Introduction to Kayaking is certified to:

Teach the following courses:
Sea Kayak Skills Introduction to Kayaking
Sea Kayak Skills Level 1
Sea Kayak Instructor Introduction to Kayaking


Assist and/or Apprentice (Mentorship) on the following courses:
Sea Kayak Skills Level 2
Sea Kayak Instructor Level 1


Prerequisites
Prerequisites are to be complete before the mentorship is complete.

Introduction to Kayaking, Instructor Trainer Apprentice must have:
• Skills Certification: Sea Kayaking Level-2 Skills
• Instructor Certification: Sea Kayaking Instructor Level-1
• Instructor Trainer Certification: None required
• Experience: Taught two or more Level-1 skill courses (must appear as an instructor on the course registration)

Course Length
Assessment for Sea Kayak Instructor Trainer Introduction to Kayaking is achieved through the mentorship process.
