Comments: This course is the initial instructor training course for the Style Canoeing program.  Individuals that have an advanced solo instructor certification can apply to obtain Style Certification.  This course will provide the necessary equivalency assessment for the intermediate style instructor level.

There will be a supper on Friday and Saturday night for a small donation (10$) please let us know of any dietary requirements or restrictions.

Paddle Canada is proud to announce the addition of Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA), The Canadian Red Cross (CRC), and Sirius Wilderness Medicine (SWM) to our Instructor Support Program (ISP).  Knowledge of the latest first aid practices – urban or wilderness - are an essential element of a paddling instructor’s skill set.  Beginning in August of this year, PC instructors will be able to access courses and products from these providers at a discounted rate across the country.

Gary Doran (Head Sea Kayaking Instructor/Guide and Programmer Ocean River Sports), writes about his five exuberant paddlers who earned certification as Paddle Canada Sea Kayaking Level-1 Instructors during one of his courses taught with the assistance of Janette Galan. This nationally-accredited course ran from June 30 to July 3 in the pleasant waters around Victoria on Vancouver Island.
