Job Title: Head Coach - Paddling
Description: Our client, Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic Club, has been training, developing and producing top notch athletes including: National, World and Olympic contenders, for more than 85 years. Mic Mac AAC is a not-for-profit organization that focuses in coaching and developing Paddlers and Rowers.

On this Club’s behalf we are seeking an experienced HEAD COACH for their paddling programs on beautiful Lake Banook, in Dartmouth, NS. Reporting to a volunteer Board of Directors and Paddling Director, the Head Coach will provide leadership of the Paddling Programs, Assistant Coaches and Operations of the Club.
Start Date: 5/1/2010
Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have previous coaching experience in paddling with a minimum Level 2 certification from the National Coaching Certification Program, as well as pleasure craft operating card, First Aid and CPR.

You are a seasoned coach with experience developing competitive athletes. You possess strong technical, supervisory and communications skills along with the ability to teach. You have the ability to motivate, coach, train, develop and encourage athletes. Time management and multitasking skills are essential. You are customer focused and above all - you must be passionate about the sport!

This is a hands-on role that requires the Head Coach to take ownership, promote and help bring the Club to new levels.
